# NHLAA Global Adopts a New Constitution

## Adoption and Ratification

On **14 April 2026**, the Ninth Heaven Literature & Arts Association Inc., operating globally as NHLAA Global, passed a **special resolution** adopting **Constitution Version 1.1 — 1 April 2026**. The constitution has been duly ratified by the Appointer, **Ninth Heaven Group Pty Ltd (ACN 691 520 662)**, and is now in full force as the supreme governing instrument of the Association.

## What This Means for You

This constitution codifies the governance, charitable purposes, and institutional character of NHLAA Global. It **continues and builds upon**:

- The Association's enduring commitment to advancing **literature, the arts, and education** for the public benefit;
- The governance framework binding the **committee, members, Societies, Chapters, and all affiliated bodies**;
- The role and authority of the **Appointer** in preserving the Association's mission and standards;
- Clear procedures for **membership, committee appointment, financial governance, dispute resolution, and constitutional amendment**;
- The foundational principle that all authority is exercised in furtherance of the Association's charitable purposes and in service to the global community we represent.

## A Note on Membership

If you subscribe to *Ninth Heaven Literary Journal* or have had work accepted for publication by the Association, you are now recognised as a **Subscriber/Contributor Member** of NHLAA Global under Clause 9C. You are part of this community, and we are glad to have you.
